The peripheral is a device of a computer system that performs a single task on the computer system to provide the service to the end user and the user get the solution from the computer system on the different types of department for solving the problem on the computer system.

Similarly, the external peripherals are the devices that are connected outside of the CPU cabinet of the computer system. Such as:- input devices are keyboard, mouse, microphone etc. And the output devices are speakers that provide sound data, printer output devices are used to provide hardcopy of documents, and monitor output devices are used to provide display data on screen.

Microphone is used to input audio data to the computer system that means the microphone is an input device that sends the audio input data to the computer system and an application software which is used to compute the audio data is used to process and saved into the memory device of the computer system or in the permanent memory of the computer.
The Microphone input device is used to provide the input data to the application software to process and provide the output to the speaker when the user wants to hear the audio data coming from the microphone input device.
The microphone input device is used to communicate to the user when the user creates a voice call through the mobile device or computer system using the network device including the sim card or network device to send the voice data to the user to communicate to each other from the microphone input device in the data communication system.
The microphone input device is also used for video calling because the video calling is used to connect with the user through video calling application software to connect the user ID and they can communicate to each other through the video call on the computer system or smartphone device.
